Todd Layne Cleaners reserves the right to change prices at any time and is not responsible for typographical errors in the store or on the website related to pricing information.

Handling your garments

All dry cleaning garments, laundered shirts and wash bags are itemized in our facility. Each item is video scanned and this serves as proof of garments received. We keep video records for 15 days.
In accordance with New York State Law, all garments left in our store for more than six months will be donated to charity.

Damage and Loss

We are not responsible for articles not claimed. In accordance with New York State Law, garments not picked up within six months will be donated to charity. We exercise utmost care in processing articles entrusted to us and use such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and condition of each individual article. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses of or defects in materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This applies particularly, but not exclusively to suedes, leathers, silks, satins, double-faced fabrics, vinyls, polyurethanes, etc. Responsibility also is disclaimed for trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, bells and sequins. In laundering we cannot guarantee against color loss and shrinkage; or against damage to weak or tender fabrics. We are not responsible for loose items in pockets or bundles of garments and are not responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets or bundles of garments.
We do not assume responsibility for dry-clean only and leather/suede/fur garments that are placed inside wash&fold bags; these items must be separated from the wash&fold order. Differences in count or damage must be reported, and invoice presented, within 48 hours. Unless a list accompanied the bundle, our count must be accepted. We do not keep any pickup and delivery records after six months.
Our liability with respect to any lost or damaged article will be determined by using the International Fabricare Institute (IFI) guide. This guide determines a fair value for a lost or damaged article, taking into account the price paid and life expectancy of a garment. Our maximum liability for any dry cleaning article or wash and fold order is $150.00. Additional insurance can be purchased at a rate of $10.00 per $100.00 in coverage. We do not provide replacement insurance.
If a store receipt and corresponding credit card receipt is not provided for a damaged or lost garment, the purchase price will be determined at our discretion. Please keep in mind that most major retailers can provide a duplicate itemized receipt for purchases from the last two years if the credit card used and date purchased are provided to the store.

Billing/ Additional Charges

We will charge your credit card at the point that your garments are itemized at our facility. We reserve the right to charge additional fees for items that cost more to clean. Examples include evening and wedding gowns, couture garments, leather and suede. In the event that we need to charge an additional fee, we will contact you first for approval before cleaning the garment.
Garments will not be released or delivered without payment in full.

Refund Policy

We do not offer cash or credit card refunds for our services. If you are not satisfied with our service, you have the right to ask us to repeat the cleaning process at no charge.

Coupons and Discount Codes

Coupons and discount codes must be mentioned at the time garments are dropped off at the store or when scheduled for pickup. Coupons and Discounts cannot be combined.

Stains

Please keep in mind, that while we aim to remove all stains, some stains may never be entirely removed. In particular, this includes failure to follow care instructions, further complicating a stain by using a home remedy such as water or soda, chemical damage from spillage of alcoholic beverages, medications, perfumes, after shaves, hair dyes, perspiration and shrinkage of garments due to improper washing techniques. If you give us permission to re-do a garment with stains, we will not be responsible for any damage to the garment that is caused by our attempts to remove the particular stain.

Self-Serve Laundry

Customers may only use our dryers if they have washed their garments in our facility. The last wash for self serve customers is one hour before closing time.

Minimum Wash and Fold Order

The minimum charge for wash and fold is ten pounds.
