Our store hours for walk-in customers and pickup/delivery hours are the same. We recently updated them and they are listed below. We are now offering Uber for some deliveries, in addition to our store staff, and have a free and fast 60 minute window.

What should I beware of when looking for an online laundry or dry cleaning company?
Many online laundry and dry cleaning companies that come up in search results are nothing more than an nice website or app. They are middlemen that pickup your garments and outsource them to another company or large cleaning plant in Long Island City. In many instances, they place customers laundry in mesh bags and wash them together in the same washer/dryer.

How do I get started with Todd Layne Cleaners?
It’s so easy to get started!
Option 1 – Walk-In to our Store
Bring your laundry, dry cleaning, puffer coat and whatever else you have and we will setup your account and handle the rest. If you need a laundry bag, we sell a few different kinds at very discounted prices.
Option 2 – Schedule a Free Pickup and Delivery
Schedule with our online website tool. If you are more comfortable speaking or texting with us to setup your account and schedule your pickup, please text/call us at 646.661.4777.
If you would like to text, send the message “new customer” and we’ll handle the rest. Contactless free pickup and delivery is available.
If you have never sent out your laundry before, we understand that there can be some confusion. You can use a laundry bag of your own or we sell a large laundry bag with carrying strap at a substantial discount. If you also have dry cleaning or laundered shirts, separate these items in a separate bag. We can also provide a bag to use for these items in the future.
Preferences and Special Requests
We store all of your preferences and special requests in our system to make it as simple as possible for you. The Care Preferences section of our website tool allows you to select from a choice of premium detergent, stain fighter, fabric protector and scent booster…and give us any special instructions. Whether you create an account online or by phone/text, we will always keep your information up to date.
Keeping You Informed
We will send you text notifications throughout the process, from the time that you place your order until it is delivered back to you. If you are using our new online platform, you will receive notifications about the status of your order and be able to arrange for return delivery. If you live in a Doorman building and prefer to receive fewer communications, we can accommodate that as well.

All dry cleaning at Todd Layne Cleaners is eco-friendly. There is no chemical smell with exceptional stain removal, color retention, fabric longevity and gentle steam pressing. Most cleaners in NYC use a cleaning agent that is toxic and classified as a carcinnogen by the state of California.
We also offer eco-friendly laundry services with scent-free options from Seventh Generation and Tide. For clients with allergies or a need for baby laundry, we can handle that too.

We offer free pickup and delivery in NYC seven days a week with a quick 30 minute time window.

Do you offer same day service for laundry?
Since 2006, Todd Layne Cleaners has been offering the best same day laundry service in NYC. We have our own laundromat in our storefronts on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at 242 East 77th Street. We ask that you bring in your laundry by 10am for this service. For delivery customers, we ask that you schedule your pickup by 10am as well. Most days, this service is complimentary. If we are operating at capacity, there is a small charge of $2.99.
We are a premium retailer and our customers appreciate that we take the time to customize their laundry and treat stains individually in our eco-friendly dry cleaning process. We’re sure that you will appreciate the difference.

Do you offer same day service for eco-friendly dry cleaning?
Typical turnaround time for dry cleaning is 48 hours. It takes a little longer to offer our eco-friendly dry cleaning service because we take the time to treat each stain and offer gentle hand steam pressing.

What is the difference between Wash and Fold, Laundering, Dry Cleaning and Puffer Coat cleaning?
Option 1: Wash and Fold; Clothing is washed, dryed at a safe low temperature and given back to you folded and fresh, customized anyway you want it! We offer free choice of detergent, fabic protector, stain fighter, and scent booster. Air and hang drying are available for delicates and gym gear. For more information click here.
Option 2: Laundering; Dress/Button down shirts are washed with natural solvents/soaps and gently steamed by hand for a perfect finish. At TLC we scrub the cuffs and collars of all shirts before they are cleaned. These can then be given back on hangers or folded in a box, whichever you prefer. For more information click here.
Option 3: Dry Cleaning; We find that most people don’t understand what Dry Cleaning really means. In simple terms, it is a process where garments are placed in what looks like a giant washing machine, but with much more technical sophistication. Conditions are controlled for humidity, stain removal and other factors. There is a liquid inside the machine that most dry cleaners use that is toxic (our’s is not) and classified as a carcinogen by the state of California. We use a quick and safe drying process, followed by a gentle steaming by hand for a perfect finish.
Our Eco-Friendly process is more unique because we have an experienced “spotter” that treats all stains before the cleaning process. Whites come out whiter and darks maintain their color. There is never a chemical smell because we use eco-friendly solvents resulting in your garments having a longer lifespan. For more information click here.
Option 4: Puffer Coat Cleaning; We use a specialized process for coat brands like Canada Goose, Mackage, Moncler,etc. Our specialist uses a very delicate and unique Eco-Friendly cleaning process to gently remove stains and restore that coat to its original look by maintaining vibrant colors and proper feather distribution. Do you offer Hang and Air Dry with your Laundry Wash and Fold service?
Yes, we have two options:
- Hang Dry – Returned damp on hangers (no limit)
- Air Dry – Returned dry on hangers or folded (no limit.) This new service uses specially calibrated dryers with dehumidified air and no heat.
Do you have Lululemon or other nice gym clothes and other delicates? We can either hang or air dry these items. Hang dry items are taken out of the washer and returned damp on hangers. Air drying is a new feature at Todd Layne. Garments are placed in a specially calibrated dryer with just dehumidified air and no heat. These items are returned dry on hangers or folded.
The cost per item of hang or air drying is 79 cents. If you have more than 10 items, we can offer you a bulk discount rate. Please separate these items in a separate bag or ask for one of our special red bags.

Yes, we have a special service for Baby Laundry and Allergy Sensitivities?
- Hypoallergenic wash and dry for your baby’s clothes or your sensitive skin
- Choice of special detergents and softeners
- Machines are cleaned with vinegar and flushed without detergent before use
- Surfaces sanitized and special gloves/masks are worn by our staff for the entire process
Need a hypoallergenic wash and dry for your baby’s clothes or sensitive skin? No problem! We have dedicated washers/dryers for our hypoallergenic laundry service and use unscented eco-friendly cleaning products (or Dreft for babies.) Machines are cleaned with vinegar and flushed without detergent beforehand and special gloves and masks are worn by our staff for the entire process.

Will my laundry every be mixed with someone elses? Where is your Laundry Wash and Fold service done?
Absolutely Not! Our laundry is done on our own premises by trained personnel at 242 East 77th Street. The average tenure of our staff is five years. We also promise never to mix your garments in the same machine with anyone else’s. Yes, it’s gross…but that’s how its done in most laundry facilities. New Yorkers are savvy enough to know that you get what you pay for.

Do you have a self-service laundromat?
Yes, you can do your own laundry in our renovated Laundromat at 242 and 244 East 77th Street on the Upper East Side of NYC. Washers and Dryers use quarters and we have a change machine. We can also sell you soap pods and other supplies. Last wash is one hour before closing time. Our hours:

We feel very strongly about our sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning methods as a contribution towards helping the environment. Our dry cleaning methods are non-toxic and we offer several eco-friendly cleaning products for our laundry service.
We also offer pickup and delivery windows with a sustainability option that lets us consolidate orders and reduce our carbon footprint.
Our hanger recycling program has been very successful and we have saved thousands of hangers from entering the waste stream.
