Todd Layne Cleaners Stain Removal Tip – Fairies Favorite Drink – “Red Wine” Stain

The Irish believe that fairies are extremely fond of good wine. The proof of the assertion is that in the olden days royalty would leave a keg of wine out for them at night. Sure enough, it was always gone in the morning. – Irish Folklore

Red Wine stain removal: Spray the diluted dishwashing-soap mixture on the stain; tamp with a soft-bristled brush. Flush with water, apply vinegar, and tamp; let stand several minutes, and flush again. If color remains, apply hydrogen peroxide and let stand. If color still remains, apply 1 or 2 drops of ammonia to wetted area. Flush with water. Treat with an enzyme detergent; wash. If color remains after washing, apply a powdered non-chlorinated bleach, such as sodium percarbonate, and rewash.
